I know, I know....another social media platform?? This one is different. It's like a Reddit where creators can earn cryptocurrency (which can be invested/traded or converted to "real" money) for quality content that is upvoted by the community. Thusly, quality content and social accountability/integrity are key factors here. I recently joined and it is fascinating. Steemit is a revolutionary platform that I think has a huge potential benefit for artists. While this newsletter will continue to be the official source for brand new paintings, important news, show dates, teaching activities, etc., and my Instagram will continue to provide tasty bite-sized nuggets, I will also be sharing content on Steemit: the processes for paintings past and present, my thoughts on creativity, and anything else that can contribute something of value. You can visit my Steemit blog HERE, and if you like what you see, I encourage you to join up. Currently it can take up to a week for account approval, but don't worry, it'll happen. Steemit is still technically in "beta" and there isn't a whole lot of art, so you fellow artists would be early adopters. If you're not into it, no worries...the newsletter will continue!
