| Dear Subscribers, Greetings! New big still-life this week. The setup:  I found that giant rusty can at an antique shop in Phelps, NY. I expect to get some good painting mileage out of that. :) first stage:  From the start I wanted to alter the lighting to serve the composition. My lamp is lighting the entire scene evenly, but I want a cone of focused light in the painting. next stage (sorry blurry):  Now up on the website, the completed painting: "Bottle & Bloom" 24x18  Until next week, David A.
