| Dear Subscribers,
 Greetings!

 New cityscape this week.

 The setup:

The photo I took on Market and Seventh in San Francisco.

 First stage:

I toned the panel with wadded up paper towel. (the day before starting)

 Next stage:

I start laying down the paint with a palette knife.

 Next stage:

 Next stage:

And the finished painting, "Sundown Approaching Seventh" (36 x 18 panel):

Here is the figure drawing I'm currently working on during evening classes at the Safehouse Atelier:

This is graphite on smooth paper. I like how this is turning out.

A little rearranging on the website. I think it's a bit easier to peruse through paintings in different categories now. Check it out.

There's a new feature on my website. I have enabled Facebook "Like" buttons on each painting in the site galleries. Hooray! Feel free to "like" some of your faves ;).

Hmmm I think it's time for some still-life action.

 Until next week,
