Greetings!

 

The still-life class is full for January, but if you wish to be notified
in case spaces open up for February, shoot me an email. 

 

I'm converting my studio space to acommodate students! When its ready
I'll take some photos and share in the new year... The newsletter will
be going ON HIATUS from now until January 8th.

 

Here is the finished figure study from last month (Safehouse Atelier
evening class).

And...more figure stuff. This month we are lucky to have KT return (she
is a great model). Unfortunately, we only have 4 sessions to work with.
I tried to make the most of the first two sessions:

I spent Monday night blocking in the pose and starting the head. I'm
happy with the placement on my panel. On Wednesday night I fixed the
head and started painting the body with a larger brush. The pose is
awesome, wish we had the full month. But that's okay, at least we have
Parkinson's law on our side: The amount of time which one has to perform
a task is the amount of time it will take to complete the task. Strange
but so often true. I'll be painting furiously during the last two
sessions this week.
