Greetings!

 

During my still-life class on Wednesday I did a paint-along demo (i
think approx 2.5 hrs):

 

 
 

 

There is a space opening up for March.

Mondays & Wednesdays, 9am-noon, $250/month

I have just finished a big new cityscape!

My original reference photo:

 
 

 

I decide to exaggerate the warmth of the foreground and the coolness of
the distant background. For added interest I tone the panel in the
opposite configuration, so bits of complimentary color will shine
through. I sketch the layout in umber.

 

 

 

 

After the umber drawing, it's all painted by knife.
