Dear Subscribers,
The workshop in Italy was an amazing and unforgettable experience. So honored that artists came from all over the world to study with me. Artists from the UK, Kuwait, Israel, USA, New Zealand, Australia, Norway, and Italy. It was a special week with talented and fascinating people. It was particularly meaningful to have my family with me. It was the first time that my wife of 18 years got to see me teach, and now my kids have a better idea of what Daddy does on those workshop trips (both of them even got to do some painting!).

First, here are both of my live demonstration paintings from the workshop. One light (with brush) and one dark (with knife). |
Here are a bunch of photos from the week, in no particular order. These might take a moment to load, apologies. Evenings after class were filled with surprises. There was a wine tour of the on-site vineyard and cellar. A pasta making night, a pizza night, live music and dancing, late night campfires (I missed those, I was way too tired haha), walks by the lake, a pool, an amazing chef who provided 3 meals a day (plus snack/aperitivo). The hosts at Art Escape Italy create an incredible experience.

After the workshop, my family and I went to Florence for a few days. It was awesome. Lots of exploring and gelato. Here is my forehead from the top of the Duomo: |
