A long issue to make up for last week :)
This one was previewed last time.
Here's the setup:

At this point I'm not happy with it and I decide to go a different direction with the values.

Another new still-life.
The setup:

I propped up a red cloth on the left to get some nice reflected reds in the objects.
I usually either use mostly brush or mostly knife for a painting. With this one I set out with the goal to go back and forth between the tools equally to see what would happen.

Doing the thinner darks with the brush and the thicker lights with the knife.

Those wispy strokes are with the tip of the knife.
