I won’t lie to you, I did not enjoy painting this one. I clearly don’t have the authority to claim that it was like giving birth, but, akin to a certain scene from the movie Prometheus: It was a painful process and I feel better now that it’s out. And unlike that scene, I’m not horrified with the looks of this alien that has emerged from my guts. Actually, I like this guy quite a lot. Sometimes that's just how it goes.

My painting "Foil Things" is a May finalist in the Raymar Art contest. Sweet, now I have two finalists in the pool for this year's annual contest.

"Foil Things" also took 3rd place in the Boldbrush Painting Competition for May.
Nice!

The Oil Painters of America National Juried Exhibition at Evergreen Fine Art opened on Friday and will be up for a month. My painting "Succor" is there.
