Image 1630631 Dear Tribe, This is about you. Image 1661840 I have been writing my newsletter since April of 2009, the year I turned pro. Since then I've benefited from your interest in my art. Either obliquely or directly, you have made my career possible. You might have been there from the beginning or you might have joined last week. Either way, I am indebted to you. UN|realism is a show for you. Only a small fraction of my supporters and fans ever have the chance to physically attend a gallery opening featuring my work. It would be nice if art was accessible and enjoyed without restriction. That's why this upcoming solo show will be an entirely online event. Everyone gets to see the unveiling of my new work at the exact same time and in the exact same manner, no matter where you live. And for those who buy art, everything will be available for instant purchase. Mark your calendars: Image 1610338 May 17th Sunday 6-9 PM Pacific Standard Time Here, in your homes, on the internet. Enjoy some wine and cheese. Invite your friends. This will be an interactive experience! More about the show will be revealed. Stay tuned. _____ Image 1435608 Image 1638048 My painting "In Glass Houses" is a Raymer Finalist for December . Judge's comments: "This is not only a well done still life but it got me to think about what this artist was saying. I am attracted to art with a message. What exactly is he saying with the depiction of glass and saw blades and what exactly are those red dots? This piece intrigued me with its message and kept me engaged for quite awhile. I think this is what art is supposed to do: engage the viewer. I also felt it was beautifully painted." - Camille Przewodek By the way, this is one of the paintings debuting in the February show at Gallery 1261.
