I forgot to mention in the last newsletter: The esteemed Art Renewal Center has named me an ARC Associate Living Master. It is an honor, not only because of the founding principles and realism ethic of this organization but because if it weren't for their existence and the resources on their website, I may never have learned of the Schuler School of Fine Arts, and thus would not be the artist I am today. So in some way I tangentially owe my career to them. I'm sure the same could be said of many fortunate happenstances along my journey, but this was a big one. Huge and awesome show this month at Abend Gallery, curated by IX. Check it out. Epic lineup of artists. I'm in a show with Odd Nerdrum? What? And Boris Vallejo? I grew up with his book covers! That's cool. I'll have a couple paintings there: "Death and Birth at The Oasis" and "Angel of Creation."
