| Dear Subscribers, Greetings! New still life this week, "Grapes & Glass Alla Prima":  This little 8x10 was painted "alla prima" (done in one sitting). The panel was toned half blue, half umber, and I left that shining through on the edges. I mentioned a few weeks ago that I was going to do a larger (36x18) figure. Well, it's not quite finished yet but here is a peak at a portion of the painting (the figure is similarly draped in black as in "Blaze" and "Passage".....all three compositions were conceived of at the same time....exaggerated warm/cool stuff...):  I've been forgetting to photograph stages lately, but I'll get back to doing that!
