| Dear Subscribers, Greetings! Great news this week. The Salon International 2010 (at Greenhouse Gallery) awards presentation took place on Friday night, and was judged by legendary portraitist Everett Raymond Kinstler. My painting, "Blue Goblet", received Honorable Mention for Artistic Excellence!!! Woot!  In light of the struggling economy, I decided it would be a good idea to start painting some miniatures. New category added to the website, with three new paintings!!: Minis New mini: "Calla Lilies & Tangerine" (6x6 on panel):  New mini: "Bloom" (6x6 on panel):  New mini: "Peach & Turps" (6x6 on panel):  These were all painted "alla prima", and were a total blast. There's something very nice about being constrained to a tiny area. Definitely more to come. Figure sketch from life model.
