A week and a half ago I went down to Los Angeles to shoot another instructional video with Yoshino and Justin at NOH/WAVE. Our goal was to redo (and revamp) my old classic (and popular) BASICS video that I released on Gumroad several years ago. That video had its snarky charm and the information was good, but the production level was pretty low.
I wanted to do the updated content justice by giving it the professional treatment. High resolution, great sound, and artfully filmed. In addition to the subject matter you may be familiar with from the original Basics, we added a couple of extras, including How to Varnish and How to Frame a painting. I designed this video to be literally everything you need to get started with oil painting.
