A new cityscape this week.
First stage:

Blocking it in with my painting knife. Lots of paint. Straight for the jugular.
 
Next stage:

My intention is to give only the van a high level of detail, with the extra dark building looming in the back as a secondary focal point.
 
And the finished painting, "Shroud" (12x9):
 

 
Nice and gloomy. I'm liking how the foreground (and main subject) is in shadow.
