Dear Subscribers,
Greetings!
It's the late edition.
The David Leffel workshop in Baltimore last week was awesome. I learned a ton. On the first morning he did a 2-hour still-life demo:

Then we worked on our own still lifes while David circulated and taught.
On the third day he did a 2-hour portrait demo:

I'm still processing the information Leffel imparted to us. Time will tell how much I can take from the experience. It was so helpful to have this master giving advice while I was painting the following still life and portrait:

On the plane I had to take a photo of this awesome airline art:

Cup smashing into snout-face lip chin. Not sure what's going on here, but clearly Airtran has made budget cuts in the art department.
*Class info*
I am starting a still-life oil painting class. I plan to begin in January (possibly Feb, depends). Looking for 4-5 students max to cram into small space. The class will be on a monthly tuition basis: $250 a month. Mondays and Wednesdays 9am-noon. No oil painting experience required, but some drawing skills would be good. Located in Palo Alto, California. Just off of El Camino Real. Email if interested!
Until next week,
