New still-life. The onion from last week was still looking nice...
The setup:

I know I'm going to have grapes in here but I don't actually have any on hand. That's cool, grapes are fudge-able... especially dark vague ones.
 
First stage:

Getting composition and shape of shadow in.
 

 
Gotta have big piles of paint ready to go! Even with a little 8x8 painting:

 
Next stage:

Decide to get the background/foreground relationship sorted out before going into the objects.

I want some thick paint, so at this point I put down the brush and start in the with the knife.

The City Streets group show opening at Studio Gallery in SF was great! Got pretty crowded. They always put on a great reception.
